Ok – In reading through Exodus I found a couple of verses that do not make
sense to me. I have always skipped over
them and figured Moses must of been high the day he wrote them. But today I
decided to ask and see if anyone know anything about them. The verses in
question are below:
Exodus 4:24-26 "On the journey back, as they camped for the night, God met
Moses and would have killed him but Zipporah took a flint knife and cut off her
son’s foreskin, and touched Moses’ member with it. She said, "Oh! You’re a
bridegroom of blood to me!" Then God let him go. She used the phrase
"bridegroom of blood" because of the circumcision." (The Message)

Hey Josh, I know a good book you can read… The Shadow Women by Angela Hunt…she attacked this passage. It may help you make some sense of it (besides its a really great book about the women in Moses’ life).
